Montiopsis andicola is a species in the family Montiaceae, native to the Andean regions of Argentina and Chile. It was first described in 1993 by D.I. Ford, based on earlier work by Gillies.

Description

Montiopsis andicola belongs to the genus Montiopsis within the plant family Montiaceae. This species is distributed across the Northwest and South regions of Argentina, as well as Central Chile. It was formally published in 1993 by D.I. Ford, who recognized it as a distinct taxon following the original observations by Gillies. The species is part of a group of plants commonly found in arid and semi-arid environments of South America.
