Monanthes pallens

Monanthes pallens belongs to the genus Monanthes within the stonecress family, Crassulaceae. This species is endemic to the Canary Islands, a group of islands located in the Atlantic Ocean. The scientific name was formally published in 1887 by Christ, who credited Webb for the original collection or description. The species is part of a group of plants typically characterized by fleshy leaves and compact growth forms, common in arid or semi-arid environments.
