Momordica cymbalaria is a vine species in the Cucurbitaceae family, native to regions in Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Pakistan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. It is part of the Momordica genus and is related to the bitter melon plant. The species was first described in 1859 by Fenzl ex Naudin.

Description

Momordica cymbalaria is a climbing vine found in several Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. It has also been referred to by the synonyms Luffa tuberosa (Roxb.) and Momordica tuberosa (Roxb.). This species is part of the gourd family (Cucurbitaceae), which includes other economically and botanically significant plants.
