Abronia pogonantha, known as Mojave sand verbena, is a flowering plant in the Nyctaginaceae family. It is native to California and Nevada, particularly found in the Mojave Desert, surrounding hills and mountains, and parts of the San Joaquin Valley. The species was first described in 1889 by Heimerl.

Description

Abronia pogonantha is a member of the Nyctaginaceae family and is commonly referred to as Mojave sand verbena. It is indigenous to California and Nevada, where it is typically found in the Mojave Desert, adjacent hills and mountains, and in sections of the San Joaquin Valley within the Central Valley. This species was formally published in 1889 by Heimerl.
