Yucca schidigera is a perennial plant in the Asparagaceae family, native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It is commonly found in the Mojave Desert and also occurs in the Sonoran Desert and along the Pacific coast of southern California and Baja California.

Yucca schidigera, known as Mohave yucca or Spanish dagger, is a member of the Asparagaceae family. It is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, where it is most commonly found in the Mojave Desert. The plant also extends into the Sonoran Desert and reaches the Pacific coast of southern California and Baja California. This species was first described in 1871 by Roezl ex Ortgies. It is a hardy perennial that has adapted to arid environments and is part of the Yucca genus, which includes various desert and semi-arid plants.
