Encephalartos transvenosus is a cycad species in the Zamiaceae family, native to Limpopo, South Africa. It is known by the common name Modjadji Cycad, named after the Modjadji Rain Queens of the Lobedu people. The species is associated with a valley near the queen's residence, where it grows in dense forests and is considered sacred. The species name transvenosus refers to the fine vein network between the main leaf veins, visible when the leaf is held up to light.
