Mitrastemon yamamotoi is a plant species in the family Mitrastemonaceae. It was first described in 1909 by Makino and is native to several regions in Asia and the Pacific. Its distribution includes Assam, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, Japan, Nansei-shoto, New Guinea, Sumatera, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Description

Mitrastemon yamamotoi belongs to the genus Mitrastemon within the Mitrastemonaceae family. It is a species with a wide geographic range across parts of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The plant is found in Assam, Borneo, Cambodia, China South-Central, China Southeast, Japan, Nansei-shoto, New Guinea, Sumatera, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was published in 1909 by Makino, following the original description by Makino. It is part of a small and distinct plant family, Mitrastemonaceae, which is known for its unique characteristics and limited number of species.
