Korthalsella salicornioides is a species of mistletoe in the family Santalaceae, native to the North and South Islands of New Zealand. It was first described in 1896 by Tieghem, based on earlier work by A. Cunn.

Description

This parasitic plant belongs to the Santalaceae family, commonly known as the sandalwood family. Korthalsella salicornioides is one of several species within the genus Korthalsella, which are primarily found in the Southern Hemisphere. The species is distributed across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand. As a member of the Santalaceae, it is likely to exhibit the typical parasitic lifestyle of the family, relying on host plants for nutrients and water. The species was formally published in 1896 under the authorship of Tieghem, who revised the earlier work of A. Cunn.
