Eriastrum diffusum, known as miniature woollystar, is a flowering plant in the Polemoniaceae family. It is native to the southwestern United States and parts of northern and northwestern Mexico. This annual herb grows in various open habitats and typically reaches a height of up to 20 centimeters. It was first described in 1945.

Description

Eriastrum diffusum is an annual herb with a thin, woolly stem that grows either upright or spreading. Its leaves are divided into 2 to 4 narrow, threadlike lobes. The plant produces a woolly inflorescence of narrow, leaflike bracts with webby fibers. Its small flowers are funnel-shaped, featuring yellowish throats and white to pale blue corollas. It is found in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and parts of Mexico.
