Serruria reflexa, known as the Milky Spiderhead, is a flowering shrub native to the Western Cape region of South Africa. It is part of the fynbos vegetation and grows upright, reaching a height of 2.0 m. The plant flowers from September to November.
Description
Serruria reflexa is a member of the Proteaceae family and is endemic to the Western Cape, occurring from the Koue Bokkeveld to the Olifants River Mountains between The Baths and Porterville. It was first described in 1990 by Rourke. This shrub is part of the fynbos biome and is known for its erect growth habit and flowering period in the spring months.
