Michauxia campanuloides
Michauxia campanuloides L'Hér. ex Aiton

Michauxia campanuloides is a species in the Campanulaceae (bellflower) family, native to regions including Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Turkey, and Greece. It was first described in 1788 by L'Hérault ex Aiton. The genus Michauxia has been recently reviewed in botanical literature, and historical studies by the Candolle family referenced illustrations from L’Heritier’s Reliquiae to examine the genus.
Description
Michauxia campanuloides, commonly known as rough-leaved michauxia, is a member of the bellflower family (Campanulaceae). It is found in the eastern Mediterranean region, including Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Turkey, and Greece. The species was published in 1788 under the authorship of L'Hérault ex Aiton. The genus Michauxia has been the focus of recent botanical treatments, with Alphonse Candolle following his father’s work by referencing the illustrations in L’Heritier’s Reliquiae when studying the genus in 1830 and 1839.
