Juglans mollis, known as Mexican Walnut, is a species in the Juglandaceae family, native to Mexico. First described by Georg Engelmann in 1880, it is found in temperate and tropical forests at altitudes between 800 and 2,500 meters.

It is native to several regions in Mexico, including Mexico Central, Mexico Gulf, Mexico Northeast, and Mexico Southwest. This species typically grows in temperate and tropical forest habitats at elevations ranging from 800 to 2,500 meters. The species was first described by Georg Engelmann in 1880.
