Pleuridium mexicanum is a moss species in the family Ditrichaceae, first described by Cardot in 1910. It is commonly known as Mexican pleuridium moss in English.

Description

Pleuridium mexicanum belongs to the genus Pleuridium and is part of the moss family Ditrichaceae. The species was formally described by Cardot in 1910. It is native to Mexico and is known by the common name Mexican pleuridium moss. As a member of the Ditrichaceae family, it shares characteristics typical of this group of acrocarpous mosses, often found in a variety of habitats, including moist and shaded environments.
