Tripsacum lanceolatum E.Fourn., commonly known as Mexican gama grass, is a perennial bunchgrass native to the Tropical Dry biome. It is part of the Poaceae family and is found in regions including Brazil, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, among others. The species was first described in 1886 and is classified as Least Concern (LC) by the IUCN.

Description

Tripsacum lanceolatum is a member of the genus Tripsacum, which includes perennial grasses. It is widely distributed across multiple countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and parts of the Caribbean. This grass thrives in tropical dry environments and is recognized for its ecological presence in these regions.
