Megalastrum grande is a species in the genus Megalastrum, belonging to the Dryopteridaceae family. It was first described in 1988 by A.R.Sm. & R.C.Moran, based on earlier work by C.Presl. This fern is native to Brazil, specifically the Northeast and Southeast regions.

Description

Megalastrum grande is a member of the Dryopteridaceae family, a group of ferns commonly known as the wood ferns. It is distributed in the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil. The species was formally published in 1988 by A.R.Sm. & R.C.Moran, building upon the original work by C.Presl. As part of the genus Megalastrum, it shares characteristics typical of this group, including features of frond morphology and spore production that are consistent with other members of the family.
