Meesia triquetra, known as meesia moss, is a species of moss found in higher latitudes across the Northern Hemisphere. It is part of the family Meesiaceae and was first described in 1844.

Description

Meesia triquetra is a moss species that grows in regions such as Labrador, Québec, parts of Europe including Flanders, Southeastern countries, Norway, Denmark, and in Vermont, United States. It belongs to the genus Meesia and is characterized by its three-ranked growth pattern. The species is commonly referred to as three-ranked hump-moss in scientific literature.
