Canavalia cathartica, known as Maunaloa in Hawaiian, is a legume species in the Fabaceae family. It is native to tropical regions across Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. This plant is invasive in Hawaii and is also referred to in English as poisonous sea bean, ground jack bean, or wild bean. It was first described in 1813 by Thouars.
