Matthiola tricuspidata, known as the three-horned stock, is a species in the Brassicaceae family native to the Mediterranean region. It is a halophyte typically found in coastal stable dune grasslands and coastal dune scrub habitats, but not on shifting dunes.

Description

Matthiola tricuspidata (L.) W.T.Aiton is a flowering plant species in the Brassicaceae family. It is native to the Mediterranean shores and is commonly found in coastal stable dune grasslands and coastal dune scrub. This species is a halophyte, adapted to saline environments, and does not occur on shifting coastal dunes. Its distribution spans across several regions including Albania, Algeria, the Baleares, Corse, Cyprus, the East Aegean Islands, France, Greece, Italy, Kriti, Lebanon-Syria, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Sardegna, Sicilia, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey-in-Europe. The species was first described in 1812.
