Matthiola montana is a species in the genus Matthiola, family Brassicaceae, native to Turkey. It was first described by Edmond Boissier in 1842.

Description

Matthiola montana (Boiss.) belongs to the Brassicaceae family and is native to Turkey. The species was described by Edmond Boissier in 1842, based on specimens in his herbarium, including sheet P 00747173. The description was derived from material he annotated, providing a foundation for the species' taxonomic recognition. Given the original material used for the description, lectotypification of the species is considered justified to stabilize its nomenclatural status.
