Serruria lacunosa, known as the Matsikamma Spiderhead, is a shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the Western Cape in South Africa and is part of the fynbos vegetation. The plant can grow up to 1.5 meters in height and flowers between September and April.
Description
Serruria lacunosa is a member of the genus Serruria and is found in the Cape Provinces. It is specifically associated with the Gifberg region. As a flowering shrub, it contributes to the biodiversity of the fynbos ecosystem. The species was described and published in 1996 by Rourke.
