Marsh Scheuchzeria

Scheuchzeria palustris L. is a monocot flowering plant belonging to the family Scheuchzeriaceae. It is the only species in the genus Scheuchzeria. The plant is found in various regions across North America and parts of Europe. It is commonly referred to as Marsh Scheuchzeria in English and has a wide distribution, including areas such as Labrador, Newfoundland, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Flanders, the southeastern United States, Vermont, Norway, Denmark, and Alaska. In the APG II classification system, it is placed in the order Alismatales.
