Marianthus erubescens is a flowering plant species in the family Pittosporaceae, native to the southwest of Western Australia. It is a woody, glabrous shrub or climber characterized by narrowly elliptic leaves and red, down-curved flowers that grow in clusters of three to six.

Description

Marianthus erubescens, described by Putt. in 1839, belongs to the genus Marianthus within the family Pittosporaceae. This plant is found exclusively in the southwest region of Western Australia. It is a shrub or climber with smooth, woody stems and narrow, elliptic leaves. The plant produces red, downward-facing flowers that are grouped in clusters of three to six. The species is part of the Pittosporaceae family, commonly known as the Pittosporum family, which includes a variety of shrubs and trees primarily distributed in the Southern Hemisphere.
