Marchantia berteroana is a species in the genus Marchantia, family Marchantiaceae, first described in 1834 by Lehm. & Lindenb. It is distributed across several regions in Colombia, including Antioquia, Boyacá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Meta, Nariño, and Santander, as well as in Pasto and BR.
Description
Marchantia berteroana belongs to the Marchantiaceae family and is part of the Marchantia genus. The species was formally described in 1834 by Lehm. & Lindenb. Its geographic distribution includes several Colombian departments such as Antioquia, Boyacá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Meta, Nariño, and Santander. It is also recorded in the regions of Pasto and BR. This species is part of the liverwort group, a diverse and ecologically significant subset of bryophytes.
