Manilkara kauki is a species in the family Sapotaceae, native to tropical regions of Asia and northern Australia. It is the type species for the genus Manilkara and is found in areas ranging from Indo-China to Malesia.

Description

Manilkara kauki belongs to the tribe Sapoteae in the subfamily Sapotoideae of the family Sapotaceae. It is distributed across several regions, including India, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and northern Queensland. The species was first described in 1915 and is recognized as the representative species for the genus Manilkara.
