Manilkara hexandra, known as the milk tree or Ceylon ironwood, is a tree species in the family Sapotaceae. It is native to regions including China, the Indian subcontinent (Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka), and Indo-China (Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam).

Description

Manilkara hexandra is a member of the Sapotaceae family and is found in tropical regions across Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hainan, India, Malaya, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was first described in 1915 by Dubard. It is part of the tribe Sapoteae and is recognized for its distribution across Southeast Asia and South Asia.
