Manilkara chicle is a tropical evergreen tree found in Mexico and Central America, from Veracruz in Mexico to Atlántico in Colombia. It is a member of the Sapotaceae family and is known for producing chicle, a natural gum historically used in chewing gum and other products. The species was published in 1943 under the authorship of Gilly.

Description

This species was first described in 1943 by Gilly.
