Malesherbia linearifolia is a subshrub native to central Chile, found in the Coquimbo, Valparaiso, Metropolitana, and O'Higgins regions. It is the first species of the genus Malesherbia to be described, with its original description published in 1797 by Cavanilles. The species was later reclassified by Poir. in 1814.

Description

Malesherbia linearifolia belongs to the family Passifloraceae and is endemic to central Chile. It was first described in 1797 by Antonio José Cavanilles and later reclassified by Pierre Poiret in 1814. The plant is a subshrub and is part of the Malesherbia genus. It is found in the Coquimbo, Valparaiso, Metropolitana, and O'Higgins regions of Chile.
