Malephora lutea

Malephora lutea is a member of the Aizoaceae family, a group of mostly succulent plants. It is found in IT, Sardegna (Sardinia), MT, and the Cape Provinces. The species was published in 1928. The flowers of this plant are pollinated or visited by Fidelia kobrowi, an insect species. The genus Malephora includes several other related species, all characterized by their fleshy, water-storing leaves and typically showy flowers. The plant's distribution is limited to specific regions in the Mediterranean and southern Africa.
