Nothofagus betuloides (Mirb.) Oerst., commonly known as Magellan's Beech, is a species in the Nothofagaceae family. It is native to southern Argentina and southern Chile.

Description

Nothofagus betuloides is a tree species belonging to the genus Nothofagus and the family Nothofagaceae. It is distributed in the southern regions of Argentina and Chile. The species was first described in 1871. Known as Magellan's Beech in English, it is a member of a family of trees commonly referred to as southern beeches. This species is part of the broader Nothofagus genus, which includes several species native to the Southern Hemisphere.
