Macarthuria australis is a shrub in the family Macarthuriaceae, native to Western Australia. It ranges in height from 0.15 to 0.75 meters and produces white or white-cream flowers, typically blooming from August to September, though flowering can occur from May to February. It is adapted to sandy and lateritic soils, commonly found on coastal sandplains, sandhills, and roadsides.

Description

Macarthuria australis, described by Hügel ex Endl. in 1837, is a wiry shrub that grows either erect or spreading. It is endemic to Western Australia and belongs to the family Macarthuriaceae. The plant has a height range of 0.15 to 0.75 meters and is characterized by its white or white-cream flowers. While it can be in bloom from May to February, the primary flowering period is from August to September. It thrives in sandy and lateritic soils, typically found on coastal sandplains, sandhills, and along roadsides.
