Calochortus lyallii, known as Lyall's mariposa lily, is a flowering plant in the Liliaceae family. It is native to British Columbia, Canada, and Washington, United States. This species is found east of the Cascade crest in mountain and foothill regions, typically in dry to mesic open forests at lower to middle elevations. It is often associated with Pinus ponderosa, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Calamagrostis rubescens, and Carex geyeri.

Description

Lyall's mariposa lily is a plant species endemic to western North America. It occurs in British Columbia and Washington, growing in open forest habitats. Though its populations are stable in Washington, it is classified as blue-listed in Canada, indicating it is at risk but not yet endangered. The plant is typically found in association with ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, pinegrass, and Carex geyeri.
