Loropetalum subcordatum is a species in the Hamamelidaceae family, found in China and Hong Kong. It is one of four species in the genus Loropetalum and is classified in tribe Loropetaleae, subfamily Hamamelidoideae. The species was previously placed in the genus Tetrathyrium. It is considered vulnerable.

Description

Loropetalum subcordatum (Benth.) Oliv. is native to South-Central and Southeast China. It belongs to the Hamamelidaceae family, which is part of the order Saxifragales. This species was initially classified under the genus Tetrathyrium before being moved to Loropetalum. It is one of four recognized species in the genus. The plant is currently listed as vulnerable due to conservation concerns.
