Lophophytum mirabile is a species in the genus Lophophytum, belonging to the family Balanophoraceae. It was first described in 1832 by Schott & Endl. The species is distributed across several regions in South America, including Brazil (Northeast, North, Southeast, South, and West-Central), Argentina Northwest, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Peru.

Description

Lophophytum mirabile is a member of the Balanophoraceae family, a group of parasitic flowering plants. It is found in various parts of South America, spanning from the Northwest of Argentina to the central and southern regions of Brazil. The species is also present in Bolivia, Paraguay, and Peru.
