Lophopetalum wightianum is a plant species in the family Celastraceae, native to regions including Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, East Himalaya, India, Laos, Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam. It was first described in 1839 by Arn.

Description

Lophopetalum wightianum belongs to the Celastraceae family, commonly known as the staff-vine family. This species is distributed across several regions in South and Southeast Asia. It is found in Assam, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, East Himalaya, India, Laos, Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Sumatera, Thailand, and Vietnam. The plant was first scientifically described in 1839 by the botanist Arn. Its range includes both tropical and subtropical habitats across these countries.
