Lomelosia argentea

Lomelosia argentea (L.) Greuter & Burdet is a plant species belonging to the Caprifoliaceae family. It is distributed across several regions, including France, Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, the Crimean region, Lebanon-Syria, the North Caucasus, Palestine, Romania, Sicily, South European Russia, the Transcaucasus, and Turkey. The species was formally described in 1985. In the context of nomenclatural discussions, it has been noted that due to the absence of original material, Lack's treatment of the post-1753 specimen 120.27 (LINN) is accepted as a neotypification under Article 9.8 of the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants.
