Buddleja lindleyana Fortune

Buddleja lindleyana, described by Fortune in 1844, is a deciduous shrub belonging to the family Scrophulariaceae. It is native to several Chinese provinces, including Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Sichuan, and Yunnan. This species typically grows in rocky scrub near streams and roads at elevations between 200 and 2700 meters. It has also become naturalized on Okinawa-jima, Japan, and in the southeastern United States.
Description
Buddleja lindleyana is commonly known as Lindley's butterflybush. It is a member of the genus Buddleja and is found in regions with rocky, scrubby habitats. The plant's native range includes several Chinese provinces, where it thrives in streamside and roadside environments. Outside its native range, it has established populations on Okinawa-jima and in parts of the southeastern U.S. The species was first published in 1844.
