It is distributed across several regions in Asia, including Assam, Bangladesh, China South-Central, China Southeast, Hainan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The scientific name was published in 1922.

Description

Lindernia hyssopioides is a member of the Linderniaceae family and is native to a range of countries in South and Southeast Asia. The species was published in 1922 and is part of the genus Lindernia. There has been some discussion regarding the type material, with Philcox (1968) referencing Koenig material as type, but the exact specimens remain unclear due to annotations by Ehrhardt in the LINN collection.
