Phemeranthus calcaricus, the limestone fameflower, is a flowering plant in the Montiaceae family. It is native to limestone glades in the Interior Low Plateaus of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama, as well as the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. It is most commonly found in the Nashville Basin of Tennessee, where it thrives on exposed limestone in high-quality glades.

Description

Phemeranthus calcaricus is a member of the Montiaceae family and is native to parts of North America, including Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, and surrounding states. It is primarily found in limestone glades, particularly in the Nashville Basin of Tennessee, where it is locally abundant. This species is adapted to high-quality glade habitats on exposed limestone. It was first described in 2001.
