Lilium nanum is a member of the Liliaceae family, native to the Himalayas and surrounding regions. It is one of the smallest species in the Lilium genus and was first described in 1860.
Description
Lilium nanum, described by Klotzsch in 1862, is a small lily species found in South-Central China, the East and West Himalaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Tibet. It was discovered in 1845 during an expedition by Prince Waldemar of Prussia. As part of the Liliaceae family, it is distributed across high-altitude regions of the Himalayas.
