Lilium mackliniae is a plant species in the Liliaceae family, native to the upper Shirui hill ranges in Manipur, India, near the border with Myanmar. It grows at elevations between 1,730 and 2,590 metres.
Description
Lilium mackliniae, also known as the Shirui lily or Shirui Kashong Timrawon, is found exclusively in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, India. Its distribution is limited to the high-altitude areas of the Shirui hills, surrounded by Shirui village to the west, Choithar village to the south, and Sihai village to the north. The species was first described in 1949 by Sealy. It is confined to a narrow geographic range and is considered a rare plant.
