Lilium lophophorum is a species in the Liliaceae family, native to mountainous regions in China's Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet Autonomous Region. It grows at elevations between 2,500 and 4,500 metres.

Description

Lilium lophophorum, described in 1898 by Adrien René Franchet and Édouard Bureau, is part of the lily family Liliaceae. It is found in the mountainous and alpine areas of central and southern China, specifically in Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet. This species thrives in high-altitude environments, typically between 2,500 and 4,500 metres above sea level.
