Licania leptostachya is a species in the Chrysobalanaceae family, native to northern South America. It is found in Brazil (Northeast and North regions), French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, and the Guainía region. The species was first described by Benth. in 1840.

Description

Licania leptostachya belongs to the genus Licania within the Chrysobalanaceae family. Its geographic range includes several countries and regions in northern South America, such as Brazil (specifically the Northeast and North regions), French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela, as well as the Guainía region. The species was formally published in 1840 by the author Benth.
