Leucothoe keiskei, known as Keskei dog hobble or Keskei fetterbush, is an evergreen shrub in the Ericaceae family, native to southern Honshu, Japan. It typically grows to a height of 1 m (3 ft) and is cultivated for ornamental purposes. Cultivars such as 'Royal Ruby' and 'Opstal50' (trade name Burning Love) are commercially available.

Description

Leucothoe keiskei is a species of flowering plant in the Ericaceae family, first described in 1863 by Miq. It is a perennial, evergreen shrub native to Japan. The plant is valued for its ornamental use in horticulture, with several cultivars developed for trade, including 'Royal Ruby' and 'Opstal50', the latter marketed under the name Burning Love.
