Persicaria minor, also known as lesser persicaria, is a species in the Polygonaceae family. It is commonly referred to as pygmy smartweed, small water pepper, or swamp willow weed. Native to Asia, it has been widely distributed in Europe and Australia. The plant is used in South East Asian cuisine.

Persicaria minor is a herbaceous plant in the Polygonaceae family. It is found in regions such as British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, the Faroe Islands, Flanders, Bulgaria, Madagascar, the Pitcairn Islands, Canada, Belgium, the Brussels-Capital Region, the Flemish Region, the Walloon Region, and Altay. First published in 1852, this species is native to Asia but has been introduced to and naturalized in various parts of Europe and Australia. It is known for its use in South East Asian cooking.
