Leptopteris moorei is a fern species in the Osmundaceae family, native to Norfolk Island. It was named after Charles Moore, a notable botanist who contributed to plant collections in the region.

Description

Leptopteris moorei belongs to the Osmundaceae family and is found on Norfolk Island. The species was named in recognition of Charles Moore, who served as Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney from 1849 to 1896 and collected plants on Lord Howe Island in 1869. The name was formally published in 1897 by Christ, following its initial description by Baker.
