Leptomeria drupacea, known as the pale currant bush, is a hemi-parasitic shrub native to Australia. It is found in dry woodlands in Tasmania, as well as parts of Victoria and Queensland. The plant is characterized by its long, yellowish-green, slender branchlets that often resemble a broom.

Description

Leptomeria drupacea (Labill.) Druce is a member of the Santalaceae family and is endemic to Australia. It is commonly found in dry woodlands, particularly in Tasmania, and also occurs in parts of Victoria and Queensland. The shrub is hemi-parasitic, meaning it derives some of its nutrients from host plants. Its slender, yellowish-green branchlets contribute to a distinctive broom-like appearance. The species was first described in 1917.
