Description

Leea tinctoria, described in 1868 by Lindl. ex Baker, is part of the Vitaceae family and is native exclusively to São Tomé Island. This species plays a key ecological role as a nectar provider for the bird Nectarinia newtonii. Its flowers are distinctly orange in color.
