Description

Lecythis ibiriba belongs to the Lecythidaceae, a family of flowering plants commonly known as the Brazil nut family. This species is part of the genus Lecythis, which is native to South America. Lecythis ibiriba is found in the Northeast region of Brazil. The species was first proposed by Miers and later formally published in 2013 by N.P.Sm., S.A.Mori, and Popovkin.
