Nuphar pumila, known as the least water-lily, is a perennial aquatic herb in the Nymphaeaceae family. It is native to subarctic and temperate regions of Eurasia and has a wide distribution across the Palaearctic, including areas such as Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, as well as parts of North America like Vermont, USA. It was first described in 1821.

Description

Nuphar pumila is a rhizomatous aquatic plant found in freshwater habitats. Its range extends across various regions including the Baltic States, Belarus, Belgium, Austria, and parts of Russia. The species is also present in the Atlantic Ocean and Ireland. It is a member of the Nymphaeaceae family and is characterized by its small size relative to other water lilies.
