Launaea cervicornis is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to the Balearic Islands. It is found in coastal shrublands and plays a keystone role in its ecosystem.

Description

Launaea cervicornis is a spinescent dwarf rosette shrub that forms dense, hemispherical cushions up to 30 cm high. It has intricately branched shoots with leaves clustered at the base or in elongated rosettes. The species is endemic to the Balearic Islands and is adapted to coastal shrubland habitats. It is part of the tribe Cichorieae within the Asteraceae family.
